Explore the 2014–15 NBA shot log data. See how shots were distributed across conditions, which conditions moved together, and how one group of shots compared to another.
Frequencies, cross-tabs, and correlations. Use this to orient before turning to the explanatory tools — descriptive prominence and what actually moves the headline are not always the same thing.

1. Pick what you want to know
How were shots distributed? — Frequencies. Which conditions moved together? — Correlations. How did one group of shots compare to another? — Crosstabs (pick exactly two conditions).
2. Pick shots and conditions
Optionally filter to a single player, then check the shot-condition variables you want to look at. The published-model conditions are pre-checked; use the search box, category buttons, or "Restore defaults" to find or reset.
3. Run and read
Click Run Analysis. Results appear below — scroll down. The data is the full 2014–15 SportVU-tracked three-point shot log: 33,362 attempts across 281 players.
Advanced features
Pin runs to compare
Click Pin this run in the results header to save a snapshot. Pinned runs collect at the bottom — expand to compare previous results side by side.
Filter and search
Search by keyword or condition code (e.g. "DefDist" or "Curry"). Category buttons narrow the list by topic. Click × on any active filter chip to clear it.
Go deeper
Conditions you find here can go straight into the Model Builder to test what predicted 3-point shot makes. The Explorer is a good first step before modeling.
